Ysgol Gymraeg Ifor Hael is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Family Engagement Officer to join our committed team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is driven to make a positive difference to the lives of children and their families by strengthening relationships between home and school.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils and families, improving engagement with school life, and helping to remove barriers that may impact attendance, wellbeing, behaviour and educational achievement. Working closely with school staff, parents, external agencies and the wider community, you will help ensure that children are supported to thrive both in school and at home.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of working with children, young people and families.
- Has a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Can build positive and productive relationships with parents, carers and professionals.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is able to work effectively with a range of agencies and services to secure support for families.
- Is proactive, organised and able to work independently whilst contributing positively as part of a team.
- Has the ability to engage and motivate families who may be difficult to reach
