Research Associate

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, highly motivated and ambitious post-doctoral researcher with experience of research management including clinical trials in NHS settings. The successful applicant will join a vibrant multidisciplinary team working on the NIHR funded REDUCE programme. The programme is evaluating the effectiveness of a psychological intervention designed to improve clinical outcomes in people with diabetes and at risk of foot ulcers. This post covers two main areas of responsibility. The first is research management and includes working closely with the trials unit and co-investigators to support the completion of work-packages related to the clinical trial, the mixed-methods process evaluation, the economic evaluation and implementation. In addition, the post-holder will support ongoing reporting (e.g., funders, financial reporting) and meeting co-ordination. The second relates to research. In addition to opportunities to get involved with (and lead) on research outputs, the post holder would lead on liaising with our industry partner in completing proof of concept work related to the use of AI in healthcare professional training and support the development of future funding applications.

Salary: £41,064 - £46,049 per annum (Grade 6)
