Job Description
Within the South West region of the UK, our Infrastructure team has established strong positions across the Transport and Utilities sectors. With significant growth in recent years, we are continuing to expand our presence and are looking to connect with Digital Project Controls Engineers, particularly those based in Bristol, Cardiff and the wider South West area.
We have developed a Digital Controls cloud technology platform that embeds T&T’s ways of working for project controls (as described by our Cube methodology) into software applications for portfolio, programme and project management. The platform integrates various P3M and project controls software, ultimately producing status and performance reports; providing insight and driving action to help our clients control and deliver their ever more complex portfolios of work.

Job Objectives:
Your role will include but is not limited to:
Contributing to the assessment of each client environment and their current challenges and support in utilising our structured approach to discover, develop and deliver a Digital Controls solution that is fit for purpose and enables the client to achieve desired outcomes and associated benefits;
Support development, implementation and optimisation of project controls & performance related strategies and functional set-up with the digital approach;
Support the implementation of Digital Controls platform to enable an optimised project controls & performance operating model;
Support the Project Controls Leader to deploy established P3M methodologies, processes, tools and systems, tailoring these to suit specific circumstances and contributing to their continuous improvement and development;
Continuously develop understanding and application of our Digital Controls platform and services;
Produce reports to support findings and recommendations across various stages of client engagements;
Deliver workshops in a mix of virtual and face-to-face environments with client representatives;
Work within diverse and multi-disciplinary teams representing Turner & Townsend at both client sites as well as virtually;
Required Experience:
Your experience will ideally cover a mixture of if not all of the required experience including:
Gather, process, and analyse data from various sources to support construction project management and decision-making.
Apply analytical and problem-solving skills and techniques to effectively transform unstructured data and present it back in an informative fashion.
Apply knowledge of data cleansing, Exact, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, database design, application, and visualization tools.
Engage with clients to gather requirements and present findings in a clear and compelling way.
Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, reports, and present data insights to stakeholders and internal teams.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by performing regular data quality checks and implementing data governance practices.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend data-driven solutions to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
Provide training and support to end-users on new reports, dashboards, and data analysis tools.
Support the running of workshops with stakeholders, defining business processes, products and service improvements, project managing the roll-out of products/processes/services and conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for continuous quality improvement exercises.
SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Possess an analytical mindset; being a confident data manipulator and presenter with tools such as Structured Query Language (SQL), Power Query/ Power BI, Tableau, Qlik etc. would be advantageous.
Familiarity with coding and the principles of modern computer system architecture would be advantageous.

Qualifications
Degree or qualification in a relevant discipline with some experience in a project control environment desirable;
Literacy in office productivity software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office and Teams or similar) and diagramming tools such as Visio, Lucid Chart or Draw.
Advantageous qualifications in Association of Project Managers (APM) Digital Project Controls, Project Management Institute (PMI) or similar certification.
