Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef, available for either freelance or full-time employment, to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in food preparation, cooking, and team management within a hospitality or restaurant environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- In charge of Specials development
- Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production
- Manage food safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness and compliance with health regulations
- Oversee food presentation and ensure consistency across all menu items
- Lead kitchen operations during shifts, including inventory management and ordering supplies
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their culinary skills and knowledge
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and professionalism
Experience
- Proven culinary experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience in a busy kitchen environment
- Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen
- Experience in hospitality or serving roles is advantageous but not essential
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including inventory control and customer service
