Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Aircon Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning units across various sites. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, schematics, and construction practices. The ideal applicant will demonstrate leadership qualities and possess the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Install air conditioning units in residential, commercial, and industrial settings according to technical specifications and schematics
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on existing air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation instructions accurately
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements using appropriate tools and techniques
- Lead small teams during installation projects, ensuring safety standards and quality control are maintained
- Collaborate with clients to assess site requirements and provide expert advice on system selection and placement
- Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities for reporting purposes
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, including the safe handling of refrigerants and electrical components
Requirements
- Proven experience in air conditioning installation, maintenance, or related mechanical roles
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, and equipment repair techniques
- Familiarity with construction practices relevant to HVAC installations
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise or guide team members effectively
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring and system troubleshooting
- Ability to read technical diagrams accurately and interpret technical instructions
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in documenting work performed
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in HVAC or mechanical engineering are preferred but not mandatory
- Valid UK driving licence is advantageous for site travel purposes
