Electrical / Solar Business Partner – South Wales
Location: South Wales
Arrangement: Long-term commercial partnership / subcontract
Focus: Electrical, Solar PV & Renewables
DSM Solutions is looking to establish a long-term partnership with an experienced electrician, sole trader or small electrical contractor as we expand our electrical and renewable-energy operations.
We already deliver electrical, data, security and facilities projects to an established commercial, industrial and public-sector customer base throughout South Wales.
Our immediate growth area is Solar PV and battery storage, and we are looking for a technically strong electrical partner who can work alongside DSM to develop this area.
What We Are Looking For
Ideally, you will already operate your own small electrical business or work as an established self-employed electrician and have:
- NICEIC Qualified Supervisor experience
- Strong knowledge of NICEIC compliance requirements
- Inspection, testing and certification capability
- Solar PV installation and commissioning experience
- MCS experience or the capability to support an MCS-certified operation
- Battery storage experience
- Commercial and industrial electrical experience
- Current 18th Edition and appropriate electrical qualifications
The role may also involve technical supervision of other electricians and apprentices working on DSM projects.
The Opportunity
This is intended to be more than occasional subcontract work.
DSM can provide an existing customer base, project pipeline, administration and wider engineering capability, while our electrical partner provides the technical expertise and leadership necessary to help develop the electrical and renewables side of the business.
We are open-minded about how the relationship is structured and would consider:
- A regular long-term subcontract arrangement
- A business-to-business partnership
- Integration of a small existing electrical business into DSM's wider operation
- A broader commercial arrangement where there is a strong mutual fit
The objective is to establish a long-term relationship with someone who wants to grow with us, rather than simply source labour on a project-by-project basis.
If you run a small electrical business or work independently and would be interested in discussing the opportunity confidentially, please get in touch with a brief overview of your business, qualifications and experience.
Pay: £32,480.63-£100,000.00 per year
