Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Plumber & Pipe Fitter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems and piping across various commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure that all systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards. Duties
- Install, assemble, and repair plumbing systems using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to ensure proper function and safety.
- Measure, cut, thread, and fit pipes accurately according to project specifications, applying your knowledge of plumbing codes and standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of piping systems to identify leaks, corrosion, or other issues requiring maintenance or replacement.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex piping problems and implement effective solutions efficiently.
- Perform heavy lifting of pipes and materials safely while adhering to safety protocols and proper ergonomic techniques.
- Operate commercial vehicles for transporting materials or equipment between job sites when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks, including carpentry work related to pipe supports or fixtures, ensuring seamless integration into the overall project.
Experience
- Proven experience in plumbing and pipe fitting within commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred.
- Skilled in welding techniques relevant to pipe installation and repair.
- Proficient with hand tools such as wrenches, pipe cutters, and threading machines; comfortable using power tools for various tasks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of piping systems, fixtures, valves, and related components.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout work are essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively during installation or maintenance activities.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus for transporting materials or equipment between sites.
- Experience with assembly processes involving piping components or related infrastructure is advantageous.
