We are currently looking for a reliable and motivated Porter / Van Driver to join our team on a part-time, self-employed basis.
About the Role
This is a flexible, part-time self-employed position assisting with residential and commercial removals, house clearances, furniture handling, loading and unloading vehicles, and delivering excellent customer service on every job. Due to the nature of the removals industry, applicants should be flexible, as some days may require early starts and later finishes depending on customer requirements and job schedules.
Key Requirements
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling duties.
- Previous removals or logistics experience preferred.
- Experience driving Luton-style vans is essential.
- Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct.
Compliance Requirements
- Applicants must meet our vehicle insurance provider’s eligibility requirements for driving company vehicles.
- The successful applicant will be required to provide a current Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate or be willing to obtain one before commencing work.
