Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, motivated, and experienced Finance Assistant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years' previous experience within an industry-based finance environment and possess a strong understanding of day-to-day financial processes and procedures.
The Finance Assistant will play a key role in supporting the finance function, ensuring financial records are maintained accurately, transactions are processed efficiently, and reporting requirements are met in a timely manner. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, along with experience using accounting or ERP systems, would be highly advantageous
Key Duties
· Registration and processing of customer & supplier invoices.
· Comprehensive and accurate customer & supplier file maintenance.
· Reconciliation of Customer & supplier statements and liaison with customers & suppliers to resolve any queries.
· Process payments to suppliers.
· Purchase Order administration.
· Company credit card reconciliation, posting all related invoices and payments.
· Post petty cash transactions.
· Inter-company account recharges.
· Assisting to develop and enhance existing processes and use of software packages.
· Perform other ad-hoc duties as required by management.
· Participating in the annual external audit.
· Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
· Providing support and cover within the accounts team as required
Essential Criteria
· Two Year Previous experience in an Industry environment.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Highly proficient in MS Excel.
· Willingness to learn and adapt to changing business needs.
Duration: Full Time Permanent position
Location: Newry (Office Based, but may require occasional visits to company sites)
Remuneration: Attractive
Hours of work: 40 hours per week
