As we continue to grow, we are looking for an organised, confident and proactive Recruiter & Shift Bookings Coordinator to join our team.
This is a varied role combining recruitment, candidate management and shift coordination. You will play a key part in making sure we have the right people available and that our clients receive a responsive and reliable service.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Recruiting Support Workers, Team Leaders and other residential childcare professionals
- Advertising vacancies and proactively sourcing suitable candidates
- Screening applications and conducting initial interviews
- Completing safer recruitment and compliance checks
- Obtaining references and ensuring candidate files meet our compliance standards
- Coordinating onboarding and training for new workers
- Building strong relationships with our existing agency workers
- Managing staff availability and keeping our systems up to date
- Receiving and processing shift bookings from clients
- Allocating suitable staff to shifts
- Proactively working to fill outstanding bookings
- Dealing with cancellations, sickness and last-minute changes
- Communicating regularly with clients and keeping them updated on outstanding bookings
- Supporting our 24/7 service through participation in the on-call rota
- Identifying strong temporary workers who may be suitable for permanent opportunities with our clients
- Supporting the continued growth of Heycroft Staffing Solutions
Working Pattern
The role works across a two-week rotating schedule:
Week One - Recruiting
- Monday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Tuesday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Wednesday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Thursday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Friday: 9:00am – 4:00pm
Week Two – Shift Coordination
- Monday: 10:00am – 6:00pm
- Tuesday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Wednesday: 10:00am – 6:00pm
- Thursday: 10:00am – 6:00pm
- Friday: 10:00am – 5:00pm
You will also participate in our on-call rota on a 2 days on / 10 days off basis, helping manage urgent staffing matters outside normal office hours.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities
- Confident speaking with clients and candidates
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive rather than waiting for problems to come to them
- Able to remain calm when dealing with last-minute staffing issues
- Reliable and willing to take ownership of their workload
- Confident using Microsoft Office and recruitment/booking systems
- A strong communicator with excellent attention to detail
- Commercially minded and motivated by targets and results
Previous recruitment, staffing, rostering or care-sector experience would be beneficial, although we are particularly interested in finding someone with the right attitude, organisation and drive.
