Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components, ensuring precision and quality in every project. The position involves working with various materials, including small and large fabrications, and utilising a range of hand and power tools to complete fabrication tasks efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques on various metals, including welding standards.
- Fabricate components according to technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts.
- Work with metal profiles to create precise components for assembly or installation.
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or structures.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
Skills
- Proven experience in MIG welding and general welding practices.
- Strong knowledge of welding standards and techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge related to assembly processes and material properties.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Basic maths skills for measuring, cutting, and fitting components precisely.
- Experience working with mild steel and understanding fabrication processes.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail coupled with a commitment to safety standards in the workplace.
