As a Kitchen Team Member, your role is to prepare, cook, and present food to the company specification, while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety. You will support the Lead Chef to keep the kitchen running smoothly. As many of our kitchens are customer facing you will need to provide a welcoming manner and help create a positive working atmosphere in the kitchen.
Food Preparation & Standards
· Prepare, cook, and present food to the company specifications.
· Follow recipes, portion sizes, and plating guidelines.
· Maintain focus, speed, safety, and accuracy whether quiet or busy.
· Ensure you complete all prep, shift change and closure procedures fully as directed.
Health, Safety & Compliance
· Follow all Food Safety and Health & Safety policies.
· Maintain accurate record-keeping according to our food safety standards.
· Keep all kitchen areas clean, tidy, and safe.
· Report hazards, equipment issues, or incidents immediately.
· Take pride in your kitchen and work to keep it immaculate.
· Handle company equipment, stock, and property responsibly at all times.
Teamwork
· Help create a positive, supportive work environment.
· Be ready to start work at your scheduled time (arrive early enough to be set up).
· Work closely with colleagues to deliver smooth service.
· Support new starters and share knowledge.
· Communicate clearly with kitchen and FOH teams for efficient service.
· Stay up to date with site and company level communications in group chats and via emails.
· Act with kindness and professionalism, always.
