Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Meat Cutter or Packer to join our food production team. This role involves preparing, processing, and packaging meat products in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities
- Cutting, trimming, and preparing various types of meat according to specified standards and recipes
- Packaging meat products securely for distribution or retail sale
- Ensuring all meat is handled in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Maintaining cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment at all times
- Assisting with inventory management, including stock rotation and storage organisation
- Following health and safety procedures diligently to prevent contamination or accidents
- Collaborating with team members to meet production targets efficiently and accurately
Skills
- Experience in food production or culinary roles, particularly within butchery or meat processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices within a food manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
- Ability to operate specialised cutting equipment safely and effectively
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in handling products
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with colleagues effectively
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is important
