Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily activities such as, meal preparation, and household tasks in a respectful and encouraging manner
- Support our young people in developing life skills through mentoring, teaching, and motivational guidance
- Foster a safe and welcoming environment by promoting positive behavior and emotional well-being
- Collaborate with team members, families, and external professionals to create personalised care plans that meet each individual’s needs
- Encourage participation in social activities and community engagement to promote inclusion and confidence
- Monitor and document progress, challenges, and any incidents accurately to ensure consistent support
- Provide emotional support and active listening to help clients feel valued, understood, and empowered
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or vulnerable adults is highly desirable
- Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Knowledge of teaching techniques suitable for diverse learning needs
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or client needs
- Relevant certifications or training in health and social care are a plus but not mandatory
