We're growing our sales team and looking for an ambitious, people-focused apprentice to join us as a Business Development Apprentice — earning a salary, gaining a nationally recognised qualification, and building a genuine career in sales from day one.
The Role
As our Business Development Apprentice, you'll work alongside our sales team to help grow both our apprenticeship enrolments and our commercial course bookings. You'll be given real responsibility early: generating leads, speaking to prospective clients and learners, and helping close deals: All while studying towards your Level 4 Sales Executive Apprenticeship.
Day to day, you'll:
- Identify and reach out to new business prospects across our target sectors
- Support the sales team in managing and growing existing client relationships
- Handle inbound enquiries about our apprenticeships and commercial courses
- Keep our CRM up to date with leads, calls, and appointments
- Provide administrative support to the sales team: including processing enquiries, preparing quotes and proposals, and maintaining accurate records
- Work towards agreed monthly targets alongside the wider sales team
- Attend regular off-the-job training and coaching sessions as part of your apprenticeship
Your Apprenticeship
You'll study towards the Level 4 Sales Executive Apprenticeship Standard, combining on-the-job experience with structured training, coaching, and assessment. Building the skills required to become a confident, capable Business Development Manager by the end of the programme.
What We're Looking For
This role is ideal for someone who has recently completed their A-Levels and is looking for a hands-on alternative to university, or a mature learner looking to start or restart a career in sales.
- A-Levels (or equivalent) completed, or relevant life/work experience if you're a mature learner
- GCSE (or equivalent) grade 4/C or above in English and Maths
- Strong communication skills. Confident on the phone and in person
- A genuine interest in sales, business development, or account management
- Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working towards targets
- Resilient and positive. Happy to pick up the phone and keep going after a “no”
- No previous sales experience required. Just the right attitude and a willingness to learn
