Bakery Operations Assistant
The Breadwinner Bakery in Edinburgh is looking for a proactive, dependable and organised person to join our team.
This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the day-to-day operation of the bakery. You will help prepare customer orders, complete cleaning duties and provide practical support across the business.
Role details
- Permanent position
- Minimum 37.5 hours per week
- 8:30am–4:00pm
- Five days over seven, Monday to Sunday
Main responsibilities
- Prepare and check customer orders for dispatch
- Plan and organise your daily workload efficiently
- Provide support across different areas of the bakery
- Follow clean-as-you-go and daily cleaning procedures
- Comply with food-safety, hygiene and HACCP requirements
- Wear the required uniform and protective clothing correctly
- Maintain professional standards when dealing with colleagues and customers
- Pass on useful customer feedback or potential sales opportunities
- Follow the company’s policies and code of conduct
What we are looking for

- Willing to carry out practical and physical tasks
Experience in a bakery, food-production, warehouse or dispatch environment would be helpful but is not essential.
