Kitchen Porter
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to help keep our kitchen running smoothly. This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation across the kitchen and wash-up areas
Minimum guaranteed hours of 32 per week, working across weekdays, evenings and weekends in accordance with the operational needs of the business.
Duties Include:
- Washing and maintaining crockery, cutlery, kitchen equipment, pots and pans.
- Ensuring wash-up areas and kitchen workspaces are clean, organised, and hygienic at all times.
- Supporting chefs and the wider kitchen team to ensure efficient service.
- Following food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards.
- Reporting equipment faults and kitchen hazards to the Senior Chef on duty.
- Assisting with general kitchen duties as required.
- Helping to maintain a safe working environment and preventing backlogs during busy service periods.
What we're looking for:
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- A positive team player who is willing to support colleagues.
- Good attention to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Reliability, flexibility, and a strong work ethic.
- Previous kitchen porter or kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential.
