Bespoke Career Solutions is recruiting experienced Base Frame Assemblers for a busy commercial vehicle manufacturer based in Aldridge, Walsall.
This is a long-term, temporary-to-permanent opportunity working a four-day week. You will assemble commercial vehicle chassis, base frames and associated subsections using hand tools and pneumatic air tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Building commercial vehicle chassis and base-frame subsections
- Assembling components accurately to the required specification
- Using a variety of hand tools, power tools and pneumatic air tools
- Reading and working from basic engineering and assembly drawings
- Measuring and marking out materials and components
- Drilling, fastening and fitting components
- Checking completed assemblies for accuracy and quality
- Following workplace health and safety procedures
Skills and Experience Required
- Previous assembly, vehicle building, manufacturing or engineering experience
- Confident using hand tools and pneumatic air tools
- Able to read and understand basic drawings
- Experience measuring and marking out accurately
- Good practical and mechanical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team
