Job Description:
Silver Fern Developments is seeking a talented and versatile Carpenter to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the construction and renovation projects that define our commitment to excellence. You will be responsible for executing carpentry tasks and coordinating with various trades to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Carpentry Skills:
- Execute precision carpentry work, including first and second fix as well as custom woodwork.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials according to project specifications.
- Install doors, windows, flooring, and other structural components with a keen eye for detail.
Multi-Trade Expertise:
- Collaborate with electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project progression.
- Perform general construction tasks such as drywall installation, insulation, and tiling as needed.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards to maintain a secure work environment.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations on every project.
Quality Assurance:
- Maintain Silver Fern Development's commitment to craftsmanship and quality by producing work that meets or exceeds our high standards.
- Conduct thorough inspections and quality checks throughout the construction process.
Teamwork and Communication:
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, fellow tradespeople, and subcontractors.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to the team and management.
Tools and Equipment:
- Operate and maintain hand and power tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in carpentry techniques and construction processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Safety certifications and knowledge of industry regulations are a plus.
