Main purpose
Fixmart is a growing B2B distributor of fixings and fastenings, supplying trade customers across London and the South East. As we bring more delivery routes in-house, we're looking for reliable drivers to join our transport team. You'll be the face of Fixmart at every delivery point, so we're looking for someone professional, reliable, well-organised, and easy to deal with.
Hours and pay
- £14.50 per hour, Monday to Friday (8 paid hours a day, plus a 1-hour unpaid lunch), paid monthly.
- Deliveries are weighted to the morning, so most days start early and finish earlier than a typical long-day round
- On busier days, extra hours may be needed and are paid at the same £14.50 rate — there's no fixed overtime rota, it simply flexes with demand
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering a range of products across multiple London and South East postcodes
- Following your planned route and delivery schedule
- Loading, unloading, and safety-checking your vehicle each day
- Handling undelivered items and customer returns
- Flagging any delivery issues to the sales team as they happen
- Representing Fixmart professionally, in uniform (provided)
What You'll Need
Essential:
- Full, clean manual UK driving licence
- Able to safely lift heavy packages
- Comfortable driving in London and South East traffic and postcodes
- Good spoken and written English, with a professional manner
- Reliable, well-organised, and a strong communicator
Nice to have (not essential):
- Previous multi-drop van delivery experience
- Experience with route planning software (e.g. MaxOptra)
- Background in construction, HVAC, or working on construction sites
You'll also need to be willing to complete an alcohol and drug test as part of our standard safety process, keep up to date with an eyesight test every 2 years and any required Health & Safety training.
