Job Title: HSQE Manager
Location: National role – regular travel across 12 depots

Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HSQE Manager to lead Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental performance across our national generator hire operation. Covering 12 depots nationwide, this is a hands-on role requiring regular site visits, depot audits, and direct engagement with operational teams.
You will play a key role in ensuring we deliver safe, compliant, and high-quality services to a large and diverse customer base, including industry leaders within Electricity, Water, Telecommunications and critical infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety
§ Lead and continuously improve the company’s HSQE management systems across all depots and operational sites
§ Ensure full compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards and best practice
§ Conduct regular site visits and depot audits, producing clear reports and corrective action plans
§ Lead accident, incident and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and implementation of preventative measures
§ Support managers and supervisors with risk assessments, method statements (RAMS) and safe systems of work
§ Drive a positive safety culture through engagement, coaching and visible leadership
Quality & ISO Management
§ Manage and maintain our ISO certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
§ Act as the primary contact for external auditors and certification bodies
§ Plan and deliver internal audits and management reviews
§ Ensure continuous improvement of quality processes and operational standards
Environmental
§ Oversee environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives across depots and sites
§ Monitor environmental risks, waste management, emissions and fuel handling practices
§ Support the business in reducing environmental impact and meeting customer expectations
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
§ Support key customers and projects with HSQE documentation, audits and site support
§ Engage with major clients across Electricity, Water and Telecommunications sectors, ensuring compliance with their specific requirements
§ Work closely with depot managers, engineers and senior leadership to align HSQE objectives with business goals
About You
You will be a proactive, confident and practical HSQE professional who is comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels.
Essential:
§ NEBOSH General Certificate
§ Proven HSQE management experience in a multi-site or national role
§ Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation
§ Experience managing ISO systems and audits
§ Comfortable travelling regularly to depots and customer sites
§ Excellent communication and influencing skills
Desirable:
§ Experience in plant hire, generator hire, construction, utilities or infrastructure environments
§ Experience working with high-risk or critical infrastructure clients
