JOB PURPOSE
To lead international marketing strategy across priority markets, tiering markets by growth potential and building distributor marketing partnerships grounded in regular in-country visits, owning distributor marketing-fund control and per-market compliance clearance, growing IVG's international presence ahead of revenue.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the development and delivery of international marketing strategy across all priority markets
- Tier international markets by growth potential, regulatory accessibility and channel maturity, reviewing tier allocation annually
- Undertake regular in-country visits to priority markets — Tier 1 markets at least twice a year, Tier 2 markets at least once — to assess local retail conditions and meet distributors face to face
- Build and lead joint annual marketing planning with each distributor, mirroring the UK joint business plan framework
- Provide the marketing toolkit to distributors, working with the Creative and Content Studio on localisation and translation — UK materials are never automatically reused internationally; every market requires its own Legal and Regulatory clearance before use
- Control distributor marketing-fund allocation and spend, ensuring co-op and joint investment is tracked against agreed activation plans
- Own ecommerce and factual product information for international markets, working with Corporate Affairs, Brand & Responsible Communications on translated, market-appropriate customer education content
- Maintain country-specific compliance documentation and obtain compliance approval for each market's own regulatory framework before any activity or launch proceeds
- Support eCommerce expansion into new European markets with locally relevant marketing assets, partner marketing and brand presence work
- Work with the UK Commercial Marketing Manager to mirror the independent retail activation model into priority international markets via distributor relationships
- Align trade event participation with distributor calendars
- Review activation performance per distributor on a quarterly basis, tracking revenue, distribution, active customers and marketing ROI
- Manage local agency support where used
- Work closely with the Head of Marketing on international investment prioritisation and Year 2 expansion planning
- Submit every external item — market materials, distributor communications, ecommerce content — through the three-step approval process: business approval, responsible-marketing and governance review, and independent per-market Legal/Regulatory clearance
- Report progress against distributor programme, market-tiering, revenue, distribution, active-customer and rate-of-sale measures to the Head of Marketing on the agreed governance cadence, with activity and evidence tracked in IVG Hub
ROLE REQUIREMENT:
- Graduate or equivalent level, with experience in international marketing, export or distributor management, ideally within FMCG or a regulated category
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly and internationally as part of the role
- Experience building or managing distributor marketing partnerships, including marketing-fund control and accountability

- Comfortable navigating varying local regulatory frameworks across multiple markets
- Confident using data to prioritise markets and evidence distributor, revenue, distribution and campaign performance
- A great communicator both verbally and written, able to work across cultures
- Pro-active, detailed approach to tasks with the ability to use own initiative
- Strong team player, comfortable coordinating with UK Commercial Marketing and Corporate Affairs colleagues
- Energy, enthusiasm and a can-do attitude are a must
