Quality & Compliance Manager
Salary: Circa £50,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Location: Hybrid/home based, with regular travel across Milewood services and attendance at the Doncaster office as required

About the Role
We are looking for a Quality & Compliance Manager to join our Quality Team and help drive quality, compliance and continuous improvement across Milewood.
You will lead and develop our Quality & Compliance Advisors, deliver assurance activity including audits, mock inspections, service reviews and validation visits, and use evidence to identify good practice, risks and opportunities for improvement.
As part of the Senior Management Team, you will contribute to organisational decision-making, support the delivery of Milewood’s Quality Strategy and lead designated improvement projects and workstreams.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
· Manage, support and develop the Quality & Compliance Advisor team.
· Plan and deliver quality assurance activity, including audits, mock inspections, service reviews and validation visits.
· Identify themes, trends, strengths, risks and areas for improvement from assurance work, incidents, complaints, safeguarding activity and feedback.
· Translate findings into clear improvement plans and monitor progress against agreed actions.
· Provide evidence-based assurance, constructive challenge, advice and guidance to managers and senior leaders.
· Support services to meet regulatory requirements and prepare for inspections and monitoring visits.
· Lead designated quality improvement projects and contribute to policies, systems and processes.
· Work collaboratively with senior colleagues to support organisational priorities and Milewood’s Quality Strategy.
About You
You will bring strong operational leadership experience in a regulated adult social care environment, alongside a thorough understanding of quality assurance, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
You will ideally have:
· Operational leadership experience within a regulated adult social care setting
· A Level 5 qualification in Leadership & Management, Adult Social Care or a related field.
· Experience managing, supervising and developing staff.
· Experience supporting services to achieve and maintain regulatory compliance.
· Strong knowledge of CQC requirements, safeguarding, Mental Capacity legislation, person-centred practice and adult social care best practice.
· Experience or knowledge of quality assurance, audit methodology, evidence evaluation and improvement planning.
· An understanding of risk management, escalation, organisational learning, confidentiality, UK GDPR and information governance.
· Awareness of supported living and residential care models
· Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, digital care planning and recording systems.

Role Requirements
This is a group-wide role, so you will need to:
· Travel regularly across Milewood services and be visible in services.
· Spend at least two days per week visiting services.
· Attend the Doncaster office as required.
· Stay overnight occasionally where business needs require.
