Job Purpose
Provide onsite and remote support and resolve IT problems across multiple technology areas, including Office 365, Networking, Windows Desktop Support, Windows Server and Backups.
Customer locations include Bristol, Elton & Derrylin (NI)
Apprenticeship Overview
Expected duration: 17 months
Apprenticeship level: Level 3
Programme: Information Communication Technician
During this apprenticeship, you will follow a fully supported training programme with LearnTech, delivered through combined weekly remote classroom-based training, workplace assessment/training and online learning working towards completing the Information Communication Technician standard.

Key responsibilities:
- Manage and prioritise tickets.
- Liaise directly with the user to resolve issues.
- Investigate the problem whilst keeping in contact with the user and logging notes in the system.
- Assisting with ongoing projects.
In addition to the above duties and responsibilities the post holder must be prepared to undertake such additional duties which may result from changing circumstances, but which may not of necessity change the general character or level of responsibility to the post.
Essential skills, characteristics and experience
Technical Skills
- Office 365
- Backup technology (e.g. Veeam)
- Network technologies i.e. TCP/IP, VPN, DHCP/DNS, Firewall etc.
- VMware; management, and deployment of Virtual Machines
- Automated Patch management via WSUS and third-party tools
- End user support i.e. Windows 11, VPN, account administration etc.
- Windows Server technologies (Active Directory, Group Policies, Remote Desktop Services, etc.)
- Desirable but not required: Microsoft, Cisco, VMware & Veeam certifications

Requirements
It is a requirement to have five GCSE 9-4 grades or equivalent (including English and Maths) to apply for this type of apprenticeship. If you do not have these grades but have completed numeracy and literacy Key Skills/Functional Skills at level two you may also apply for these apprenticeships.

- Have been a UK/EEA resident for the last 3 years
- Hold valid residency status
- Have the right to work in the UK
Pay: From £10.85 per hour
