Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Locum Pharmacist to join our busy community pharmacy on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be confident, patient-focused, and capable of delivering a wide range of NHS and private services while ensuring safe and efficient day-to-day pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Performing clinical and legal checks in line with GPhC standards
- Providing expert advice on medicines, minor ailments, and general health concerns
- Supervising and supporting pharmacy staff, including dispensers and counter assistants
- Managing workflow to ensure timely and safe service delivery
- Maintaining accurate patient medication records using TITAN PMR
- Ensuring compliance with all SOPs, legal, and regulatory requirements
- Stock management, ordering, and handling shortages
Pharmacy Services (Essential Involvement)
The successful candidate must be actively involved in delivering a range of services, including:
- Vaccination services (e.g.Travel, Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations)
- Blood pressure checks and health screenings
- Smoking cessation programs
- Emergency hormonal contraception (EHC)
- Minor ailments consultations
- New Medicine Service (NMS)
- Pharmacy First
- NHS and private services as required
Essential Requirements
- GPhC registered Pharmacist
- Proven experience in a community pharmacy setting
- Strong working knowledge of TITAN PMR system
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to high standards of patient care

- Experience delivering a wide range of pharmacy services

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
