Qualified Dental Hygiene Therapist in Bury, Greater Manchester
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Dental Hygiene Therapist to join our practice as an Employed team member, covering our Hygiene Therapist's maternity leave with a view for continuation at the end of the 9 months fixed term.
We are a well-established and growing fully Private practice with an existing and full book with good treatment uptake.
Our priority is to provide exceptional patient care and a positive experience at every stage of their journey with our Practice, where the role of the Dental Hygiene Therapist is essential.
As part of our plan to continue expanding and revolutionising the patient experience, we are seeking a skilled, confident, and proactive Dental Therapist to enhance our patient experience model. This role will involve supporting the full scope of practice for a DHT, contributing to the growth and success of the Dental Practice. The chosen candidate will collaborate closely with the entire team to consistently deliver outstanding patient care and experiences.
The Dental Therapist wil be tasked with the completion of Direct Access hygiene, Examinations for adults and children, Radiography, as well as referred and self-prescribed hygiene treatments, deciduous extractions, and fillings.
Rate of pay dependent on experience.
Specifics of the role:
- 2-3 days per week, 14-21 hours (negotiable).
- Employed, 9 months fixed term position.
- Dental Nurse support.
- Modern & well equipped surgeries.
- Free, on-street parking.
- Paid annual leave.
Standard requirements for the role holder:
- Active registration with the GDC, with no investigations active or pending.
- In date indemnity insurance.
- Strong English skills.
- Immunity against Hepatitis B.
- Be able to prove your right to work in the UK.
- At least 1 years' experience of being a Qualified Dental Hygiene Therapist.
- Confident and able clinician with experience in working to the full scope of a Dental Therapist.
- Someone who puts the patient's overall experience at the centre of everything they do.
- Open, forward thinking and an excellent communicator.
- Have good IT skills and able to use dental software and cloud based technology competently.
- Social Media and Content Creation experience desirable but not essential.
- Composite bonding experience desirable.
- Intraoral Scanning experience desirable.

This is a part-time, fixed term maternity cover role however as the business expands, we are looking to increase the availability of appointments for patients, with Dental Therapists essential to this and so there is serious consideration for the role to be made permanent.
