Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Self employed Gardener to join our small team during the busy season. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening and horticulture, with experience in landscape maintenance. The successful applicant will play a vital part in ensuring our gardens are healthy, vibrant, and visually appealing.
The role is for 2 to 3 days work a week.
Responsibilities
- Utilise hand tools and power tools to perform planting, pruning, trimming, and general garden maintenance
- Maintain flower beds, lawns, shrubs, trees, and other landscape features according to specified standards (including hand weeding)
- Support seasonal planting and composting activities
- Ensure all tools and equipment are kept clean, safe, and well-maintained
Requirements
- Previous experience in gardening or horticulture is highly desirable
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices and horticultural principles
- Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools
- Growing experience or a keen interest in plant cultivation is advantageous
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- A responsible attitude towards safety procedures and equipment handling
