We are looking to recruit a Warehouse & Blending Operative, working in the Blending Dept. for the Newcastle plant at Royal Quays, North Shields. Hours of work are Early Shift Monday to Friday 0630 to 1430, Late Shift Monday to Thursday 1430 to 2300 and Friday 1430 to 2030 rotating weekly.
We are looking for operatives who have specific experience of working in a food manufacturing environment.

Rate of pay is £14.26p/h once training and probationary period is fully completed and signed off.
Role Details:
To ensure daily work schedules are met in the most efficient and cost effective manner by ensuring; accurate receipt, storage, retrieval and timely delivery of materials to production; accurate receipt storage and kitting of teas; blending of teas through the blender to meet production plans; the wrapping of pallets and the loading and transferring of Finished Goods to Customers and 3rd Party Warehouses and accurately completing document recording and data entry into the ERP system.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Maintain and improve the safety, legality and quality of products manufactured in accordance with food safety and quality policy.
· To carry out your duties in line with the instructions of your Team Leader and ensure that all work is conducted in line with Health and Safety Regulations, company standards and regulatory requirements
· To always demonstrate quality workmanship and safety conscious behaviour
· To ensure all hygiene and housekeeping instructions are strictly adhered to
· To ensure the safe and correct use of the vacuum sack lifter and accurately pick and collate tea mixes
· To receive and verify the accuracy of incoming shipments and ensure materials are placed in the appropriate Bin locations and are clearly marked with the correct identifying information
· To carry out daily checks of MHE equipment and undertake scheduled and preventative maintenance
· To ensure all MHE is correctly used and maintained and any faults are reported and documented in line with company procedures
· To participate in Company stock takes as and when required
· To move materials between warehouses and production areas to maximise efficiency, minimise costs and ensure work schedules are met
· To clean and maintain work area to ensure safety and hygiene
· To maintain and promote high standards of customer service, recognising that all users of the warehouse are customers
· To ensure vehicle loading and off loading is conducted in line with company guidelines and Health and Safety regulations
· To maintain accurate and up to date inventory records through the use of the ERP inventory system
· To undertake any other reasonable duty assigned by the management team of Keith Spicer Ltd.

Job Specifications:
· An understanding of the business, with a proactive and conscientious attitude and the ability to work with minimum supervision

· A good understanding of Microsoft applications including Outlook and iMake/MAS500
· Current Reach and Counterbalance FLT licenses
