Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front of House Team Leader to join our vibrant team here at The Barologist. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring smooth service, and supporting the overall guest experience. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservations efficiently
- Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages promptly
- Provide excellent guest services, addressing any enquiries or special requests with professionalism
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, counters, and service stations
- Handle cash transactions and operate POS systems with accuracy
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations
- Assist in setting up dining areas before service and clearing after closing shifts
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Manage guest feedback courteously, striving to resolve any issues promptly
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable
- Skills in serving, upselling, and providing exceptional guest services are highly valued
- Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately
- Kitchen or culinary experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory
- Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities to handle busy service periods effectively
- Ability to work well within a team and maintain a positive attitude under pressure
