Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and developing menus that meet quality standards and customer preferences.
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, presentation, and adherence to food safety regulations.
- Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to specified recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety guidelines.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders for supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Enforce food safety standards and ensure all team members adhere to hygiene protocols.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen or hospitality setting.
- Extensive food production and culinary experience, including food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Strong background in kitchen management, team leadership, and food safety compliance.
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, with knowledge of hospitality operations being advantageous.
