Duties
- Assist lead teachers in planning and delivering age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth
- Supervise children during room activities, outdoor play, meal times, and transitions to ensure safety at all times
- Support the implementation of classroom routines and behavior management strategies to create a structured learning environment
- Engage children in interactive play, storytelling, arts and crafts, and other developmental exercises to stimulate learning
- Maintain clear communication with children, parents, and team members to support individual needs and progress
- Help with classroom organisation, including setting up learning materials and ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met
- Support the management of daily schedules and assist with record-keeping related to children's development and attendance
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in a childcare setting, nursery, or early childhood education environment is required to at least a confident Level 2 or Level 3 practitioner
- Ability to work as part of a small and friendly team is essential and to be able to think and plan effectively using your own initiative
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Knowledge of childcare best practices, nursery routines, and early childhood development principles
- Experience working with diverse groups of children from different backgrounds is advantageous
- Due to remote setting be able to get to work either by car or using public transport
