Project Administration Consultant (Food Street Project)

About the Project
We are launching an exciting new Food Street Project in London and are seeking a proactive, organised, and detail-oriented Project Administration Consultant to provide independent administrative and project support services during the preparation and launch phase.
This opportunity is ideal for a self-employed professional who enjoys working independently while contributing to an exciting startup project within a flexible and collaborative environment.
Project Overview
The estimated time commitment is approximately 12 hours per week, depending on project requirements.
Contractors are free to determine their own working schedule and method of delivering the agreed services, provided that project milestones, agreed deliverables, deadlines, and meeting commitments are fulfilled.
A project coordination meeting (approximately one session per week) will normally take place in Central London or Hendon (NW4) to review project progress and discuss upcoming priorities.
Professional Fee
- Professional fee: £180 per week, based on an estimated commitment of approximately 12 hours per week.
- Payments will be made weekly upon receipt of a valid commercial invoice.
- Contractors are responsible for their own Income Tax and National Insurance contributions.
Services to be Provided
The contractor may be requested to provide services including, but not limited to:
- Preparing meeting records, action summaries, and project documentation.
- Providing administrative support in relation to project coordination and stakeholder communications.
- Assisting with the organisation and maintenance of project documentation, contracts, and records.
- Conducting online market research relating to the food, catering, and hospitality sectors, including suppliers and market trends.
- Preparing research summaries, reports, and project updates to support project delivery.
- Providing general project support services as reasonably required throughout the project.
Skills & Experience
The ideal contractor should have:
- Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese Chinese is preferred due to the project's multicultural supplier and vendor network.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience or a genuine interest in the food, hospitality, catering, retail, or events industry would be an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, manage agreed deliverables, and meet project deadlines.
- Based in London and able to attend project coordination meetings around Central London when reasonably required.
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
