Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are currently recruiting for Furniture Installers / Installers to join a busy team working across commercial sites throughout Chesterfield and the surrounding areas.
This is a varied role involving furniture installation, office moves, relocations and clearance work, so we're looking for practical, reliable candidates who are happy to turn their hand to different types of work.
As a Furniture Installer / Installer, your duties will include:

Installing and assembling office and commercial furniture

Assisting with office moves and furniture relocations

Uplifting and removing redundant furniture
-
Loading and unloading furniture and equipment
-
Assisting with recycling and waste clearance
-
Handling and bagging confidential waste
-
Asset tagging IT equipment
-
Working across offices, hospitals, care homes, restaurants and other commercial environments

Maintaining a professional and respectful approach when working on operational client sites
We're looking for candidates with:

Previous furniture installation, removals, fitting, construction, maintenance or other practical hands-on experience

Experience using basic hand tools

A basic personal tool kit and a willingness to develop this over time

Good practical skills and attention to detail

A flexible and adaptable approach to different types of work

Good reliability and timekeeping

The ability to work professionally around customers and clients

A good attitude towards manual work and working as part of a team
Own tools: You do not need to have the full tool kit of an experienced furniture installer, but you should have a reasonable selection of basic hand tools, such as a cordless drill, screwdrivers, spanners, tape measure and spirit level.
CSCS: CSCS is not required for every assignment. Where a particular site requires CSCS, this will be confirmed at the time of booking.
£13.00 per hour
Work is initially offered on an ad hoc basis, with the opportunity for ongoing work for reliable candidates who demonstrate the right skills and attitude.
Chesterfield-based candidates will report to the S41 area before travelling to client sites as required. Start times and locations will vary depending on the assignment.
