Working from our Milton Keynes factory you will be integrated to provide positive, proactive and collaborative Quality Engineering support to RBPT Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Inspection and our Sub-Contract Suppliers to ensure an efficient flow of the right quality parts to stock. You’ll develop strong working relationships, promoting a quality assurance approach using the necessary tools, and to support and challenge the business to continually improve our quality performance and technical capability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the quality assurance strategies for internal manufacturing, as agreed with the department leadership.
- Analyse, report and monitor performance metrics for the quality performance of manufacturing; using statistical process control techniques where required.
- Investigate manufacturing issues where the problem has escaped the manufacturing facility, initiate containment and ensure the issue is effectively resolved using robust problem-solving techniques.
- Work with manufacturing and sub-contract suppliers to resolve non-conformance using a prioritised and risk-based approach.
- Perform risk reduction activities by identifying themes and completing improvement projects, using a proactive risk based and data driven approach.
- Plan, conduct and report on manufacturing facility audits to pro-actively evaluate business risks.
- Collaborate and support manufacturing to reduce the perceived risks.
- Support design for manufacture/inspection activities by collaborating with Manufacturing, QC and Design to ensure the design output is achievable; building in quality into the design at concept stage and manufacturing processes at the outset; ensuring measurement system capabilities are understood and proven where possible for inspected features.
- Act as the voice of the customer to sub-contract suppliers: driving improvements, reporting quality performance and enabling an effective working relationship.
- To successfully onboard new sub-contract suppliers ensuring the Red Bull requirements are fully understood and suppliers can comply.
- Collaborate with Supplier Quality to ensure alignment of documentation and procedures, inputting into updates that benefit both internal and external departments.
- To drive and deliver projects supporting the continual improvement of processes and systems.
Ensure risk-based detection strategies are deployed to detect non-conformance.

What We’re Looking For:
- Degree level qualified OR sufficient experience in a manufacturing engineering/quality role.
- Strong understanding of the implementation and use of preventative Quality Tools:
o DFM, SPC, MSA, FMEA’s and Control Plans
o Knowledge of Problem-Solving Tools such as:
o 8D
o 5-Why
o Ishikawa
o Is-Is Not
- Experience in a manufacturing machine shop environment.
- Qualifications and experience in auditing/lead auditing (preferred but not essential).
Understanding/appreciation of Metrology principles and measurement techniques/equipment.
