Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and detail-orientated hard working person to join the team at our Bakery as a Packer. Your main focus will be on carefully and swiftly packing our delicious cakes into the finest boxes, labelling, stacking and helping to build orders.
No specific experience is required, although a keen eye for detail and a can-do attitude is always appreciated.
The role would suit someone who doesn't mind working on their own (with a podcast or your favourite playlist), or being on their feet for most of the day. It's a physical job and will require lifting up to 25 kilos regularly and moving around pallet trucks and and storage cages.
The working hours are 8 hour shifts worked anywhere between 6am and 7pm, usually Monday to Friday, although we do work the occasional weekend when needed. At this current moment the shifts will be 9:30am-5:30pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Making and labelling boxes
- Packing cake
- Stacking pallets and cages
- Sweeping and mop floors
- Cleaning equipment and machinery
- Cleaning down surfaces and walls
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste
- Restocking cleaning supplies
- You will be required to Follow Health and Safety regulations and company procedures
- Work closely with production staff to ensure cleanliness and compliance
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Good communication skills
- Reliable transportation to and from work
Please note, this job is in our wholesale bakery on Marsh Barton Industrial Estate, and not our cafe.
