The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and dynamic Dance Teacher & Multi-Sports Coach to join our expanding team in the Bristol area.
In this role, you will lead high-energy Dance After-School Clubs on designated days, while coaching a variety of fun multi-sports and active games on non-dance days.
Session Details: Our after-school club sessions run for 1.5 hours per day (inclusive of setup, registration, delivery, and pack down).
Key Responsibilities
Deliver Engaging Sessions: Plan and lead high-quality, fun, and inclusive 1.5-hour dance and sports sessions for primary school children (Ages 4–11).
Choreography & Coaching: Teach fundamental dance styles, rhythms, and routines for dance clubs, and coach core sports skills (e.g., football, tag rugby, dodgeball) on sports days.
Behaviour & Safety: Maintain strong behaviour management, ensuring a safe, supportive, and positive environment at all times in accordance with uSports safeguarding policies.
School & Parent Liaison: Act as a professional representative of uSports when communicating with school staff and picking up/dropping off children with parents/carers.
Equipment Management: Transport, set up, and pack down all necessary equipment safely and efficiently.
Requirements & Qualifications
Essential:
Dance Experience: Proven experience teaching or coaching dance to primary school-aged children.
Sports Coaching: Experience or confidence in leading general sports, physical activities, and team games.
Transport: A full UK driving licence and access to your own reliable vehicle (essential for traveling to primary schools across Bristol).
Safeguarding & DBS: A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to undergo one as part of our safer recruitment policy).
Communication: Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Desirable:
Relevant Dance Qualification / NGB Level 1 or 2 Sports Coaching Qualification.
Valid Paediatric / Sports First Aid certificate.
Valid Safeguarding Children certificate.
