Pop-up Shop Role
Description Purpose summary - You will work with the team to maintain and support the running of the pop-up shop in the foyer at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (RD&E), providing a welcoming atmosphere and excellent customer service, while actively promoting Royal Devon Hospitals Charity (RDHC).
Key responsibilities
- Welcome visitors to the shop, providing them with information about how proceeds support RDHC.
- Assist with the sale of merchandise, food and beverage items, handling cash and credit card transactions.
- Help to maintain a clean and organised shop, including stocking shelves and fridges, cleaning tables, and ensuring that all equipment is in good working order.
- Work with the team to develop new products and merchandise that align with the charities mission and values.
- Be an ambassador for RDHC and help communicate the charity’s fundraising aims, impact and activities.
- Attend team meetings and training sessions as required. Qualifications
- Friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash and credit card transactions.
- Food handling and safety certification (training will be provided if necessary).

This role description is not intended to be a legally binding contract between the Trust charity and you, the volunteer, and may be reviewed at any time with the agreement of both parties. It has been developed to accurately reflect the duties and responsibilities of your volunteer role but with no intention to create an employment relationship now, or at any time in the future.
Time commitment Volunteers are expected to commit to a minimum of one shift per week (approximately 3 hours). Shifts are available Monday – Friday, 10am-1pm or 1pm-4pm Reimbursement of Expenses Travel expenses to and from the hospital can be reimbursed.
Pay: £1.00 per year
