Loading Shovel / Wheeled Loader Operator – Nights
Location: Ilkeston
Hours: Monday to Friday, 5:00pm – 2:00am, with overtime available
Night Shift Allowance: £20 per shift
Earning Potential (OTE): £42,055 – £54,210 per annum, based on regular overtime and night shift allowance
Overtime: Paid at time and a quarter after 40 hours
We're looking for a reliable and experienced Loading Shovel / Wheeled Loader Operator to join our busy night shift recycling operation.
The Role
Operating CAT loading shovels safely and efficiently.
Loading processing equipment and HGVs.
Managing stockpiles and moving material around the site.
Carrying out daily machine checks and reporting any defects.
Working closely with the operations team to keep material moving and maintain production targets.
Maintaining a clean and safe working area.
Preferred Experience
Previous experience operating CAT loading shovels, particularly machines fitted with high-tip buckets, is preferred but not essential.
NPORS or CPCS certification is desirable but not essential.
Training from an NPORS-accredited trainer will also be considered.
Experience within recycling, waste, quarrying or a similar heavy industrial environment would be advantageous.
