HGV Driver
Forge Timber and Building Supplies are a brand new independent timber and builders’ merchants who opened their first site in Buckingham in late July 2024. The management team have focused on customer and colleague experience as part of our founding principles and will continue to do so as we grow in years to come. We are looking for an experienced HGV Driver with Hiab to join us at our site in Buckingham
About the Role –
Not for the faint hearted, we are looking for someone who is hands on and wants to be involved in all areas of the business, however at the forefront of your mind, will always be how can we make life better for our customers. Come Friday night though, the weekend is yours, that’s right, we are only open Monday > Friday! For your hard work and ability to adapt to whatever is thrown at you, we want you to spend the weekend doing what you enjoy to recharge fully, ready for a new week.
Main Duties will Include –
- Delivering building materials to our customers on a 26tn vehicle with Hiab crane
- Being the face of Forge Timber & Building Supplies. For many of our customers you will be the individual they see and interact with most often
- Completing daily checks to ensure vehicle meets all safety requirements
- Assisting yard team with loading/unloading of own/other vehicles
Required Skills –
- Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Hiab block/brick grab licence
- Adaptability – No 2 days will be the same!
- Someone who wants to be part of a progressive start-up business
- Continuously drives and improves the safety standards of the business

**Please note that Manual lifting of products is required on a frequent basis – training will be provided**

- Salary - £38,000
- Monday – Friday working (No weekends)
