A Bit About Me / The Role
I am a fun-loving, outgoing and active graduate (with a brilliant sense of humour) embarking upon my second year of the Civil Service Fast Stream. I am looking for someone like-minded to join my small team to support and accompany me outside of my professional hours. Despite having Cerebral Palsy and being a part time manual wheelchair user, I can walk with assistance and am keen to immerse myself in the London lifestyle. Socialising with friends and new work colleagues/flatmates after a busy day at the office, attending events/drinks, maintaining athletic physique through elite club throw training, swimming and gym workouts - these may be just some of the daily activities we will be getting up to! Music, volunteering and attending new exhibitions are some of my other passions. Like most grads I will be in shared accommodation and so a mix of chilling and socialising with flatmates can be expected on nights in. Alternatively, I love a good night out, drinks, events, meals out, shopping and weekends away with friends, travelling abroad or staying at my family home near Winchester.
Although my schedule can be quite changeable, I do have a regular weekly appointment in Winchester, Hampshire every Monday and Friday. As part of this role, you’ll assist me with getting ready in the morning, driving me to Winchester in my automatic car (good music preferred), join me for lunch where you will act as my hands, and then drop me off at my appointment. While I’m there, you’ll have an hour and a half break where you can explore the historical city and/or countryside of Winchester, before picking me up and driving us back to Wimbledon. It’s a lovely day to get out of London!
