Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations within our busy establishment.
The Haycock Manor has two restaurants which between them have been awarded 5 rosettes.
We have a reputation for serving high quality, locally sourced cuisine in a vibrant, fast paced atmosphere.
The ideal candidate will be experienced with a proven track record, possess strong leadership skills, have a passion for hospitality and a comprehensive understanding of food preparation, service, and safety standards.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a talented team, ensure exceptional customer experiences whilst maintaining a high-quality of standards across all aspects of restaurant management.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all restaurant activities to ensure smooth operation and excellent service delivery
- Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and oversee team performance to foster a motivated and efficient workforce
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Assist in training staff on service procedures, culinary techniques, and safety practices
- Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant environment in accordance with health regulations
- Implement promotional activities or special events to attract new customers and retain existing clientele
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within hospitality settings
- Prior experience in supervising teams, with excellent leadership and organisational skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and food production processes
- Familiarity with restaurant operations including serving, barista services, and hospitality management
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and engage customers effectively
- Previous experience working in hotel or restaurant is essential
- A proactive approach with problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail
