Subcontract Joiner / Two-Person Joinery Team – PPS Newcastle Limited
PPS Newcastle Limited is looking for a subcontract joiner or two-person joinery team to carry out joinery works on fire-damaged and water-damaged properties across the North East of England.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out joinery works within fire and water-damaged properties.
- Complete repairs, renewals and reinstatement works to a high standard.
- Install and renew doors, frames, skirting, architraves, flooring, kitchens, cupboards and other timber components as required.
- Carry out first-fix and second-fix joinery where required.
- Attend site to assess joinery requirements and provide accurate information where requested.
- Complete works in accordance with the agreed schedule and required timescales.
- Work safely and comply with all relevant site health and safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working area.
- Liaise with PPS Newcastle staff, customers and other trades while on site.
- Provide photographs and updates on completed and ongoing works where required.
- Identify any additional damage or works outside the original instruction and report these to PPS Newcastle before proceeding.
- Ensure completed works are finished to a professional standard and ready for inspection and handover.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a qualified or experienced joiner.
- Valid CSCS card is required.
- Experience working on insurance repair, fire damage and water damage properties would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of general building and reinstatement works.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a two-person team.
- Good communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with customers.
- Own tools and suitable transport.
- Appropriate public liability insurance and any relevant qualifications/certifications.
- Ability to travel to properties across the North East.
Work Type
This is a subcontract position, with work allocated as required based on current workloads and available jobs.
We are looking for either an individual subcontract joiner or an established two-person joinery team.
The role will involve working across the North East on a variety of residential insurance repair projects, from individual repairs through to larger reinstatement works following fire and water damage.
Pay: From £150.00 per day
