Job Summary
This is a contract, on-site role for an industrial painter located in Ripon/Harrogate, Yorkshire.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and painting of marquee structures, trailers, metalwork and related components to a high standard. The role requires a strong attention to detail, pride in workmanship, and the ability to produce a high-quality, durable finish on all equipment.
The position involves working as part of a busy workshop and events team to ensure equipment is finished, maintained, and ready for use.
Self-employed applicants are preferred.
Duties:
- Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, sanding and priming before painting
- Apply paint and protective coatings to trailers, marquee components and metal equipment
- Ensure a high-quality, durable finish with excellent attention to detail
- Carry out touch-ups, repairs and re-coating where required
- Maintain painting tools and equipment in good condition
- Keep the work area clean, tidy and organised
- Follow all health and safety procedures
- Work efficiently to meet deadlines and project schedules
- Assist with general workshop duties when required
Requirements:
- Previous experience in industrial, commercial, vehicle or metal painting preferred
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Good time management skills
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures
- Willingness to learn and develop skills
- Immediate start preferred
