Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Early Years Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality childcare and early childhood education within a nurturing environment, while working closely with children to support their development and learning. The position is paid and suitable for individuals passionate about early years education and childcare.
Duties
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children in your care
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages learning through play
- Support children's emotional well-being and behavioural development by implementing positive behaviour management strategies
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and developmental milestones
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure cohesive support for each child's individual needs
- Lead small groups or individual sessions to promote personalised learning experiences
- Supervise children during mealtimes, outdoor play, and rest periods ensuring safety at all times
- Contribute to the organisation of nursery routines, activities, and special events
- Uphold all health and safety regulations in accordance with statutory requirements and organisational policies
Skills
- Experience working with children in childcare or nursery environments
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and child development frameworks
- Excellent communication skills in English, capable of liaising effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to organise activities that promote learning through play while maintaining a structured environment
- Competence in managing behaviour positively and fostering a nurturing atmosphere
- Organised with the ability to plan ahead whilst remaining adaptable to daily changes.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
