Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and attentive Cleaner to join our team at Fleetwalk Shopping Centre.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across the shopping centre, including public areas, toilets, offices, floors, and other designated areas. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and takes initiative to ensure all areas are maintained to a high standard.
Full training will be provided, so previous professional cleaning experience is not essential. However, a positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are important.
Key Responsibilities
- Dust and clean surfaces throughout designated areas.
- Vacuum carpets and other floor surfaces.
- Sweep and mop floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Clean and sanitise toilets and washroom facilities.
- Clean offices and other designated areas.
- Clean windows and glass surfaces as required.
- Use cleaning machinery and equipment to clean and maintain flooring following appropriate training.
- Follow cleaning checklists and schedules to ensure all required duties are completed.
- Prioritise tasks effectively to maintain the required standard of cleanliness throughout the shift.
- Use cleaning products and chemicals safely and responsibly.
- Report any maintenance issues, damage, hazards, or other concerns to management.
- Take initiative when additional cleaning is required.
- Ensure all assigned areas are left clean, safe, and presentable.
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete cleaning duties efficiently.
Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to follow instructions, checklists, and cleaning schedules.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
- Physically capable of carrying out cleaning duties, including standing, walking, bending, and using cleaning equipment.
- Willingness to learn how to use cleaning machinery safely and effectively.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Positive attitude and good work ethic.
- Takes pride in their work and demonstrates initiative.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: £12.71-£14.80 per hour
