Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including sanitising surfaces and equipment in accordance with food safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders accurately, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Handle cash register transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Follow health and safety regulations related to food handling and hygiene practices.
Requirements
- Previous barista experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is desirable.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
- Basic food preparation skills are beneficial for handling ingredients and maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
- Good organisation skills to keep work areas tidy and supplies stocked throughout shifts.
- Ability to perform basic maths calculations accurately for cash handling and order processing.
