About Boldcom Group
Boldcom Group is a multi-brand ecommerce and fulfilment business based from our warehouse in Penn Street, between Amersham and High Wycombe. We own and operate a portfolio of growing consumer and trade brands, and we run all of their warehousing, picking, packing, marketing and dispatch ourselves under one roof.
That means no two days look quite the same. One brand ships pallets of stock to trade customers, another ships individual parcels to horseriders in multiple countries, and a third is selling party supplies to event planners all over the world. We are small, hands-on and moving quickly, and everyone here has real ownership of the work they do.
The brands you will be working across
Pro Balloon Shop is our B2B wholesale business and the largest source of daily order volume. Founded in 2021, it supplies balloons and party products to retailers, event decorators and professional balloon artists across the UK, and has grown into one of the country's largest wholesale party supplies businesses. Expect high volumes, tight dispatch cut-offs and pronounced seasonal peaks.
Ponyo Horsewear is our direct-to-consumer equestrian brand. We design our own horsewear, manufacture it through our factory in India and sell it directly to riders in the UK and internationally. Order volumes are lower than Pro Balloon Shop but the parcels are often higher value, with many heading overseas, so accuracy and presentation matter enormously.
Tuftex Balloons UK is our newest venture and the UK distribution arm for TUFTEX, the only balloon manufacturer in the United States, and one of the largest balloon brands in the world. It is launching now, which means whoever joins us will help build the fulfillment side of a brand from the very beginning.
The role
You will be a core part of our warehouse operation, making sure customers across all of our brands receive fast, accurate and well-presented deliveries.
Order processing. Picking and packing orders accurately across the full brand portfolio, working to daily dispatch deadlines.
Goods in and inventory. Receiving incoming deliveries, checking them against paperwork, flagging shortages or damage, and putting stock away in the right locations.
Warehouse standards. Keeping storage and packing areas tidy and well organised, with a clean as you go approach that everybody here sticks to.
Stock and logistics support. Moving pallets, reorganising stock, staging outbound consignments for carrier collection and helping with stock counts.
Team and operations support. Pitching in with the practical bits that keep the building running, such as keeping shared spaces in order and keeping an eye on packing consumables.
What we are looking for
Previous picking and packing experience is useful, but a strong work ethic and the ability to learn quickly matter more to us. We will train you on everything specific to our systems and products.
You should be comfortable with computers and confident in picking up new warehouse and order management software, because most of the job runs via a screen as well as the warehouse.
You will need to be able to read and understand order paperwork, product labels and safety information in English, and communicate clearly with the rest of the team.
We are looking for someone who can work efficiently under their own steam once they know what needs doing, and who works well alongside other people when it gets busy.
Getting here
Penn Street is in a semi-rural location and public transport links to the site are limited, so you will need a reliable way of travelling here in time for the start of your shift. All of the team currently drive and there is free on-site parking.
The physical side of the job
This is an active role. You will be on your feet for most of the day, lifting and carrying stock, and using pallet trucks and other warehouse equipment. Full manual handling and equipment training is provided before you start doing any of it unsupervised. If you need any adjustments to the role or the working environment, tell us and we will look at what we can do.
Pay and benefits
Salary of £26,600 per year depending on experience, pro-rata for part-time hours.
28 days of paid holiday per year including bank holidays, pro-rata for part-time hours.
Workplace pension with employer contributions through our auto-enrolment scheme.
Free on-site parking.
Casual dress, with company t-shirts and hoodies provided.
Free snacks, food and drinks on site.
Staff discount across our brands and product ranges.
No weekend working.
How to apply
Send your CV and a short note telling us why this role appeals to you.
We will acknowledge every application. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an informal interview at the warehouse so you can see the operation and meet the team you would be working with. There is no test or assessment centre.
If you need any adjustments to take part in the recruitment process, whether that is at application, interview or site visit stage, please tell us when you apply and we will accommodate them.
You will need the right to work in the UK. We are not currently able to sponsor visa applications.
The role is subject to a three month probationary period and satisfactory references.
