Business Development Executive

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our clients growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging with prospects, seeking new opportunities, and building long-term client relationships. Your primary focus will be on expanding our client base and driving revenue growth through various outreach methods, including outbound calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn networking, and online research.

Key Responsibilities

Prospect Identification and Engagement: Utilise various tools and techniques to identify potential clients and engage with them effectively. This includes conducting thorough market research, analysing industry trends, and creating targeted prospect lists.
Outbound Calling and Telemarketing: Conduct high-volume outbound cold calls to potential clients, introducing our products/services and generating interest. Develop a strong phone presence and the ability to engage decision-makers in meaningful conversations.
Email Outreach: Craft compelling and personalised email campaigns to reach out to prospects, follow up on leads, and nurture relationships. Ensure all communication is professional, relevant, and aligned with our brand voice.
LinkedIn Networking: Leverage LinkedIn as a powerful tool for identifying and connecting with potential clients. Engage in meaningful interactions, share relevant content, and build a strong professional network within your target industries.
Online Research: Conduct in-depth online research to gather valuable information about prospects, their industries, and potential pain points. Use this information to tailor your approach and create more targeted pitches.
Opportunity Qualification: Assess and qualify leads to determine their potential value and fit with our offerings. Use a structured approach to evaluate prospects based on criteria such as budget, authority, need, and timeline.
Client Needs Analysis: Engage in detailed discussions with prospects to understand their specific requirements, challenges, and goals. Develop a deep understanding of their business to propose tailored solutions.
Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and prospects. Act as a trusted advisor, providing value-added insights and maintaining regular communication to foster loyalty and repeat business.
Pipeline Management: Maintain an active and healthy sales pipeline by consistently adding new opportunities and progressing existing leads through the sales cycle. Regularly update the CRM system with accurate and timely information.
Collaboration with Sales Team: Work closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth handover of qualified leads. Provide comprehensive briefings on prospect information and requirements to support successful deal closures.
Reporting and Analytics: Generate regular reports on outreach activities, lead generation, and pipeline progress. Analyze data to identify trends, optimize strategies, and improve overall performance.
Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics. Use this knowledge to identify new opportunities and provide valuable insights to prospects and clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong phone presence and ability to conduct effective cold calls
Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales tools
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

More about the role:

Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (could be some flexibility)
Laptop & mobile provided
