Part-Time Dental Nurse – Private Dental Practice

About the Role
Thyme Dental is a new private family practice situated in Canford Cliffs in Dorset. We are a traditional small independent practice focusing on individual patient care and have a holistic approach to dental treatment.
Our Dentist has operated holistically for over 30 years in both Sussex and Kent . She has relocated recently to Poole and will be opening Thyme Dental in August.
She is a trained in naturopathic health focusing on nutrition and lifestyle in relation to dental health and is passionate about looking after her patients!
The successful candidate will support our dentist and hygienists in providing a wide range of treatments, including general dentistry, cosmetic procedures, and preventative care.
Key Responsibilities
- Chair side assistance during dental treatments and procedures. Preparing and sterilising instruments in line with infection control protocols. Maintaining accurate patient records and clinical notes. Ensuring treatment rooms are clean, organised, and fully stocked. Providing reassurance and support to patients before, during, and after treatment. Assisting with patient care plans and treatment discussions when required. Supporting reception and administrative duties as needed.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Dental Nurse with current registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) or an individual who is willing to undertake training . We will consider all ages including those willingly to return to work The candidate must have an empathy to work with people of all ages and needs including very nervous patients. Essential requirements Professional, reliable, and well-presented and honest Ability to work effectively within a team and independently. Knowledge of cross-infection control and health & safety procedures. Experience in a private dental practice is desirable but not essential.
