Role Overview
This role includes maintaining high standards of hygiene across the nursery. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a clean and well-maintained environment for children and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping Duties:
\u00b7 Ensure all nursery areas, including playrooms, bathrooms, staff rooms, and communal spaces, are cleaned to the highest standard.
\u00b7 Carry out daily cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces.
\u00b7 Clean and disinfect high-touch areas and equipment in line with nursery policies.
\u00b7 Manage laundry duties, including washing and drying nursery towels, cleaning cloths and stocking them.
\u00b7 Ensure that all toilets are regularly cleaned, well-stocked with essential supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels), and maintained throughout the day.
\u00b7 Monitor cleaning supplies and notify management when stock replenishment is needed.
\u00b7 Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a hygienic and safe environment for children and staff.
What We Are Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have:
\u00b7 Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
\u00b7 Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
\u00b7 Previous experience in a cleaning role would be an advantage.
\u00b7 Familiarity with cleaning products and equipment is beneficial.
\u00b7 Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and parents.
\u00b7 Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping (preferred).
\u00b7 Knowledge of health & safety regulations (or willingness to undertake training).
